He also directed that the case be prosecuted in the fast track court immediately so that the accused will be dealt with strictly. The Chief Minister also discussed with the Commissioner of Police in this regard. He also directed to check whether Sakhi Savitri committees have been formed in schools or not. After receiving information about the brutality of two girls in a reputed school in Badlapur East, the Chief Minister immediately held a discussion with Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar and asked him to take permanent concrete measures to prevent such incidents from happening.
The accused, identified as Akshay Shinde, was employed as a toilet cleaner at the school. Preliminary investigations suggest that the assaults took place on August 12-13 as per Hindustan Times, within the school premises.
